Framily Night

I'm trying so hard to stay up to date on here! Emmett is currently bouncing the morning away while watching his show on our new, big tv. {Maybe a little too big haha.} Jason talked me into buying it last night while we were out grocery shopping. I'm not one to impulse buy, but I'll admit this didn't take much convincing. It was on sale and waaaay too good of a deal to pass up. Anyways, Emmett's loving it so I'm going to take advantage of this time!

The weekend before last we hosted a framily dinner and game night with Shi / Kody / Hailey / Matt / Michaela / Todd / Tierra / Cortlen. This was the second of hopefully many more get togethers like this. It's so fun living close to these friends of 17ish years and I love that we're all married now! It's just a bonus that all of our husbands get along ;)

I'm all for that minimal dinner prep so we had pulled pork sandwiches, baked beans, and corn on the cob. Michaela brought a salad and Shilo made the yummiest cupcakes for dessert. Mmm. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it. After dinner we made our way outside for some arousing rounds of spikeball and kan jam. The plan was to go swimming afterwards, but from one minute to the next it started to downpour. So we moved the party inside to play a game similar to mafia. So much fun!

We always have the best time with this group! Jason's already asked me when the next game night is haha. Hopefully soon!!

Fourth of July

Independence day! Aka dress in your cutest red, white, or blue outfit day, amirite? We got to spend our holiday with lots of family this year which I loved. That afternoon we met up with the Syddall / Goldsberry / Anderson / Martin / Feil / Barron people for a picnic at Liberty Park downtown. I don't think any of us had ever been there, but it turned out to be the perfect location with lots of space and shade. We had a lot of fun playing games, eating yummy food, and celebrating America. Here's a compilation of photos taken by various people with various cameras. We brought our camera, but didn't end up taking it out because.. well.. there was no need haha.

Me and Britt are really good at spikeball ;)

It's just a lil obvious which photos I snagged from Austin haha.

That evening Jason / Emmett / myself went to Matt and Lia's for some more 4th of July festivities with the Goldsberry side. Not as many cameras were out that go around {Jason can appreciate that haha} but here are a few pictures my mom got.

Emmett and Jason were ready to go before the fireworks began, so
we headed home and watched the valley light up from our driveway.

GOD BLESS AMERICA
