T H I R T Y

I remember thinking thirty was so old when I was younger. Yet here I am at thirty feeling like I'm still eighteen. Besides becoming a wife and a mom, I feel like not much has changed?? I still have the same personality, listen to all the same music, dress in the same type of clothes, and hang with the same group of friends. It makes me wonder how I'll feel when I'm actually old haha.

My 30th birthday was a gooood one. We managed to get away kid-free for a sibling date night and it was perfect. I'm hoping it's something that can happen more in the future as our kids get a little older *cough* easier. We ate a yummy dinner at Sol Agave, played pickleball at the park, then headed back to Britta's house for pictures, raspberry bundt cake and games. My kind of evening!

These people made me feel so special. I love my family!

Karlie stopped by with the sweetest gift basket. SHE'S TOO NICE.
I'm so lucky that I have my sister-in-law as a best friend!

Funny story about these flowers. I was out chatting with my neighbor Sierra one day and I mentioned to her that my birthday was coming up at the end of the month *me not realizing what month it was*. On August 29th she knocked on my door, yelled "Happy Birthday!!!" and handed me these. I felt so dumb telling her my birthday wasn't for another month hahaha. She was so sweet and told me we're celebrating early then! I lucked out with my neighbors.

We wrapped up the birthday festivities with a golden bachelor/september birthdays/girls night.

Love these people.

See ya twenties! Bring on the THIRTIES.

The Beach Front

I'm not sure what's gotten into me the past few days but I'm going with it and whipping out a few more posts! I didn't think I would get around to blogging about this trip, but it honestly was a highlight of the year and I don't want to forget it. In April we went to Saint George with most of the family + some friends to stay at the ultimate vacation house. IT WAS AMAZING. The house had alllll the amenities. Tons of space, private pool, hot tub, multiple fire pits, pool table, paddle boards, kayaks, a sandy man-made beach and pool lagoon. It was the closest thing to a beach trip while not living anywhere near a beach. I'm so glad we were able to make it happen! I snagged these pictures online to give a glimpse of how beautiful this place was. The only downside, that we weren't aware of when we booked, was the fact that the rest of the community is basically a construction site. I was a little annoyed at first but it really didn't take away from the trip. If anything we had more of the beach and lagoon to ourselves.

Photo dump time!

Jason on a work call haha. He got a lot out of it I'm sure ;)

Emmett spent HOURS in this exact spot. That boy was in heaven.

The kids would run out in their pajamas first thing every morning to play in the sand. It was the best start to every day. The weather was perfect at that time and no one else was out. It was relaxing and peaceful and all of the kids LOVED it.

^^ This was the view from our bedroom each morning.

We played at the dino park,

and visited the children's museum.

Most nights the adults stayed up to play games once the kids were in bed (minus Brielle haha). Deception and celebrity were the group favorites.

^^ My little night owl

Before the drive back to reality, we stopped to explore Pioneer Park.

It was such a fun week! I'm craving another trip so, so bad.
Ideally before baby brother is born in June!
