E a s t e r

We kicked off Easter weekend with dinner and an egg hunt in Hailey's backyard. Emmett and Brielle loooove going over there and never want to leave. They have such a fun house and a perfect yard for an egg hunt! Brielle kept things color coordinated and only picked up the pink and purple eggs haha. She's an aesthetic girly.

Her pouty face kills me haha.

On Easter Sunday we went to church, snapped some pictures of the kids, did an egg hunt in our backyard while the Easter bunny hid baskets inside, ate too much candy, had the yummiest dinner at Gigi's house, did another egg hunt in my parents backyard, took more pictures, and played some corn hole. It was a perfect day.

I love my sweet family. I love living close to family. I love the gospel and I love my Savior. I'm so grateful for this holiday to reflect on Jesus Christ and everything he went through for us.

“On Easter Sunday we celebrate the most long-awaited and glorious event in the history of the world. It is the day that changed everything. On that day, my life changed. Your life changed. The destiny of all God’s children changed. When I think of what the Savior did for us leading up to that first Easter Sunday, I want to lift up my voice and shout praises to the Most High God and His Son, Jesus Christ! The gates of heaven are unlocked! The windows of heaven are opened! Today and forevermore, God’s grace is available to all.” - Dieter F. Uchtdorf

Next up: A pregnancy and baby boy!!!!

 Here's a quick Easter recap :)

Easter Baskets

The Easter Bunny was very sneaky with his hiding spots ;)

Easter Dinner at Gigi's

Ham, cheesy potatoes, spinach salad, roasted veggies, homemade rolls, fresh fruit, deviled eggs, jello parfaits, and cake. Yum, yum, YUM. My mom makes the best holiday dinners.

Egg Hunt w/ the cousins

We sure had a lot of eggs for these four kiddos!

We loved having Debi come down to celebrate with us.

It was such a fun, happy day! I'm so glad we got to spend it with the people we love most.

“He is risen” was the angelic message of the first Easter. With feelings of worship and gratitude, we declare our witness that Jesus Christ is indeed risen. God the Father has given us the divine birth, the incomparable life, and the infinite atoning sacrifice of His Beloved Son, Jesus Christ. By the power of the Father, Jesus rose again and claimed the victory over death. He is our resurrected Savior, our Exemplar, and our Redeemer. He is the light, the life, and the hope of the world. His way is the path that leads to happiness in this life and eternal life in the world to come. May the glorious significance of Easter attract all to follow Jesus Christ and to love one another as He taught in word and deed. -The First Presidency
