E a s t e r

We kicked off Easter weekend with dinner and an egg hunt in Hailey's backyard. Emmett and Brielle loooove going over there and never want to leave. They have such a fun house and a perfect yard for an egg hunt! Brielle kept things color coordinated and only picked up the pink and purple eggs haha. She's an aesthetic girly.

Her pouty face kills me haha.

On Easter Sunday we went to church, snapped some pictures of the kids, did an egg hunt in our backyard while the Easter bunny hid baskets inside, ate too much candy, had the yummiest dinner at Gigi's house, did another egg hunt in my parents backyard, took more pictures, and played some corn hole. It was a perfect day.

I love my sweet family. I love living close to family. I love the gospel and I love my Savior. I'm so grateful for this holiday to reflect on Jesus Christ and everything he went through for us.

“On Easter Sunday we celebrate the most long-awaited and glorious event in the history of the world. It is the day that changed everything. On that day, my life changed. Your life changed. The destiny of all God’s children changed. When I think of what the Savior did for us leading up to that first Easter Sunday, I want to lift up my voice and shout praises to the Most High God and His Son, Jesus Christ! The gates of heaven are unlocked! The windows of heaven are opened! Today and forevermore, God’s grace is available to all.” - Dieter F. Uchtdorf

The Beach Front

I'm not sure what's gotten into me the past few days but I'm going with it and whipping out a few more posts! I didn't think I would get around to blogging about this trip, but it honestly was a highlight of the year and I don't want to forget it. In April we went to Saint George with most of the family + some friends to stay at the ultimate vacation house. IT WAS AMAZING. The house had alllll the amenities. Tons of space, private pool, hot tub, multiple fire pits, pool table, paddle boards, kayaks, a sandy man-made beach and pool lagoon. It was the closest thing to a beach trip while not living anywhere near a beach. I'm so glad we were able to make it happen! I snagged these pictures online to give a glimpse of how beautiful this place was. The only downside, that we weren't aware of when we booked, was the fact that the rest of the community is basically a construction site. I was a little annoyed at first but it really didn't take away from the trip. If anything we had more of the beach and lagoon to ourselves.

Photo dump time!

Jason on a work call haha. He got a lot out of it I'm sure ;)

Emmett spent HOURS in this exact spot. That boy was in heaven.

The kids would run out in their pajamas first thing every morning to play in the sand. It was the best start to every day. The weather was perfect at that time and no one else was out. It was relaxing and peaceful and all of the kids LOVED it.

^^ This was the view from our bedroom each morning.

We played at the dino park,

and visited the children's museum.

Most nights the adults stayed up to play games once the kids were in bed (minus Brielle haha). Deception and celebrity were the group favorites.

^^ My little night owl

Before the drive back to reality, we stopped to explore Pioneer Park.

It was such a fun week! I'm craving another trip so, so bad.
Ideally before baby brother is born in June!
