Jack & Hails

Back in June, Jack and Hails flew to 'bama for a visit. We looooved having them here! Emmett and Jack hit it off like the best of friends we always knew they'd be ;) Alabama decided to show off it's peak humidity that week, but we rolled with the punches and did a lot of outdoor activities anyway lol. We hit up Dublin park, swang on swings, slid on slides, explored the greenway, picnicked w/ taco mama, walked new neighborhoods, got lost driving to costco, had a game night with the friend crew, and stayed up so so late reminiscing on the good ol' days. Something I love about my friendship with Hailey is the fact that we have a lot.. and I mean a lot.. of the same memories. We joked that my journal is basically her journal because we were always together growing up and knew nearly everything about each other. I feel lucky to have a friend like that.

I didn't think it was possible, but we managed to squeeze all three carseats in my skinny lil Tuscan. Good to know that baby #3 won't totally require the purchase of a new car haha. (Nope, not pregnant!) Brielle was an angel baby and fell asleep in her bouncer multiple times while the boys ran around the house and played. SHE IS TOO PURE.

It was such a fun time! I'm so glad that Hailey made this trip happen despite her working full-time, moming, and the world being in the middle of a pandemic! She's the best ever and it really meant a lot. Emmett loved it. I loved it. I hope they loved it too. We miss our friends already and hope to see them again in Utah in a few weeks!!

Strawberry Pickin'

We kicked off our summer (okay fine it was still spring) with a day at the strawberry patch. I believe this was right around the time covid started becoming a thing. I'm glad Emmett and I were able to sneak in this fun activity with some friends before everything started to shut down. This was our first time strawberry picking and we will most definitely be back! Emmett loved running around outside and I loved the gallon of freshly picked strawberries we took home. I swear they taste twice as good!

^^ Strong like his daddy.

It was a little bit of a drive to get there, so we tagged along with Carly and her little girl Sydney. These two are only a few weeks apart in age and have been buddies since before we even moved here. I wouldn't be surprised if Syd ends up being Emmett's first crush ;) We all had such a fun time at the strawberry patch!

Easter

Brielle has grown twice in size and personality since these photos, so that tells me I've got some catchin' up to do! Here's a glimpse of our Easter festivities this year. Shoutout to Kroger and Walmart for hooking me up with all of the goodies. I had so much fun putting the kids baskets together!

We went over to the Collin's house for an egg hunt the Saturday before Easter. It was hot, all the chocolate melted, and Emmett wasn't super into it. He wanted to eat the candy as he found it rather than fill his basket with eggs. Maybe next year...? It also happened to be mine and Jason's wedding anniversary that day. After the egg hunt we loaded the kids in the car and drove to chick-fil-a to celebrate five wonderful years of marriage. :,) That about sums up our anniversary so there's no need for a separate post haha. I love Jason and I love chick-fil-a!

Easter morning was a simple one. Due to the pandemic we could not attend church like we normally would. Instead we watched videos of Christ's resurrection and spent time together as a family. I loved it... but I also really miss church. We got the kids dressed up in their Easter attire, snapped some pictures, and brought out their baskets.

Emmett dug riiiight on in.

His imagination is my favorite. Notice the mama chick and baby peep?

The kiss! The cheeks! The double chin! I can't handle it.

The sweetest lil chunk.

Happy super, duper late Easter!
