Fa la la la la

I cannot believe Christmas was over a month ago! It seems like we were celebrating just last week. Time. is. flying. around here. And I thought the third trimester was supposed to draaag? Maybe I'm speaking too soon haha.

Anyways, here's a little Christmas run-down.

^^ Pretty much the extent of our Christmas decorating this year. I like to keep it simple.. cough.. easy. I thought the bridesmaids flowers added just the right touch ;)

We spent Christmas Eve-Eve in Logan with Jason's family. Blaire prepared a delicious holiday dinner, we played card games, opened gifts, and topped our bellies off with some cheesecake. It was such a good time.

Jason snapped these cute pictures of our nieces while we were there. This was one of Chaenonalae's many outfit changes haha.

On our way home from Logan, some of us {Debi, Tierra, Cortlen, Jason and I} stopped by Temple Square to see the lights. I want to make it a tradition to go every Christmas season and so far we're 3/3 since living in Utah - go us! We got some hot chocolate to combat the cold and keep our hands & insides toasty.

Loveeeee the JSMB.

Christmas day was very, very relaxed. Jason and I stayed in our PJ's alllll day long. We slept in, took our time cuddling in bed, made waffles, opened gifts, and started/completed a puzzle. I think it was the perfect way to spend our last Christmas just the two of us. Although we are both SO excited to celebrate this holiday with our little one(s) from now on.

^^ This is not a serious picture hahaha. I jokingly tied the ribbon around my stomach saying that I had the best gift of all. Although that is true, we were both laughing our heads off taking this cheesy photo.

Not trying to show off gifts, cause really who does that? BUT I do want to remember for MYSELF. I cannot even tell you what we got each other last year or who gave us what, and I personally like remembering those kinds of details. This year Jason was a little toooo impatient and got his Christmas present {a desktop computer that Austin helped him build} a few months early. Hailey gifted us the Owlet monitor {she started working for Owlet recently so she's got the hook ups}. My sweet parents let us choose our Christmas gift from them/Santa and we decided on a baby swing/bouncer. It's been set up in our living room since Christmas morning and I am getting so excited to put it to use! My Syddall grandparents gave us our own 'Aggravation' game board that my grandpa made. Such a thoughtful gift, and something I will always treasure.

^^ A girl can always use a new set of brushes.

Okay, so I guess I too was a litttttle impatient. Our camera {that we got back in September} was a combined birthday/christmas gift for me. We purchased a new lens from Austin a couple days before Christmas with the intention of wrapping it and putting it under the tree, but that didn't end up happening haha. I told Jason that from here on out no more early Christmas presents!

The finished product! This is the puzzle Jason won for finding 'the pickle' at my Goldsberry grandparent's Christmas party. {We really aren't cat people haha.} I don't think I've ever been so invested in finishing a puzzle. We were determined to get it done that day - and we did!

This was my favorite Christmas. But little did we know that both of us were going to wake up the next morning with a nasty cold. Being sick is never fun, but being sick AND pregnant AND working full-time is the absolute worst. I couldn't take any of my super effective, go-to medicines sooooo I had to tough most of it out. I am extremely glad that's over!

We rang in the new year with the Anderson fam. We had our little spread of appetizers and played games for hours. The four of us took sparkling cider shots once the clock hit midnight, then Jason and I were on our way home about 5 minutes later hahaha. Such party animals, I know!

Well, I think that about sums it up! I hope everyone enjoyed their holiday and took some time to remember what the Christmas season is all about.

Semi-Productive

I woke up this morning with a mind set that today was going to be a very productive day. I tend to put off a lot of things during the week being 7+ months pregnant and working 9+ hours everyday, so I like to use my weekend time wisely. I had a whole list of things I was going to get done - laundry, cleaning, filing, nursery touch-up painting, blogging, blue & gold banquet decorating. We got home from church, ate lunch, and then... I fell asleep. Only to wake up a couple hours later to fall asleep AGAIN. Although I do love Sunday naps {and I know I won't have the luxury of taking them whenever I want here in a month and a half}, I hate waking up once the sun's gone down feeling like I've wasted my whole day! It puts me in such a downer mood.

Well, I'm proud to report that Jason and I knocked out about half of my to-do list in the last hour, despite that fact that it felt like it was 10 pm the whole time. Bathroom/bedroom/kitchen cleaned. Clothes hung. Laundry & dishwasher going. Trash out. Blog post... happening. {Even if it's not the Christmas post I was planning on writing.} I'm grateful that I have a husband willing to help out around the house without needing to be asked {most of the time anyways}. As soon as he saw me on the bathroom floor picking up used tissues and q-tips from our overflowing trash can, he came in to assist. I feel SO much better feeling, well, semi-productive today.

Mr & Mrs Martin {again}

SHI GOT HER WEDDING PICTURES BACK. I debated on editing my last post to add these, but there are so many I want to share & I decided editing would be more time consuming, so new post it is! I highly recommend their photographer, Cory Devenney. He also photographed Hailey and Ashlyn's weddings this summer. Funny story - Back in 2016 he actually commented on one of my instagram photos {likely to increase his following cause that's a thing}, but it worked! I've been following his work ever since then and it's so fun seeing friends and family pop up on his page. Anyways, enough of my rambling. Enjoy the  b e a u t i f u l  pictures of my  b e a u t i f u l  sis and her  b e a u t i f u l  day.

You {almost} can't even tell we were freezing our bums off.

^^OKAY, HOW GORGEOUS IS SHE?!

- The Reception -

Oh my heck, my pregnant belly is now craaaaving soup and donuts. This delicious food was all thanks to my mama + some helpers. She's a rockstar at everything she does.

Mar and Tay played and sang 'I Get to Love You' by Ruelle for their first dance. They. did. amazing.

And they were off! Literally still obsessing over how perfect of a day this was.
LOVE THIS COUPLE.
