THIS IS HALLOWEEN

Halloween! Halloween! Halloween! Halloween!

I hope you get my Nightmare Before Christmas reference lol. That song has been stuck in my head for days. I'm warning you now that I'm about to post waaaay too many Halloween pictures. Sorry 'bout it haha. I just know that I'll never take the time to go back and look at the pictures I don't share on here, and there's just too many good ones! I've always loved the idea of family Halloween costumes, so I basically spent the whole month of October trying to think of something fun and cheap that Jason would be on board with. I originally wanted us to be a lion, tiger, and bear, but then I found this cute baby quarterback outfit that just so happened to match my old high school cheer uniform. NICE. It only took me a couple of minutes to find a ref shirt on Amazon to complete our family costume. Cute and easy peasy! Side note: This was my cheer uniform from freshman/sophomore year. I'm pretty sure that it's not the actual uniform I wore because I was tiiiny back then. {Scroll to the bottom for pictures.} I have the uniform from my Junior year as well and I could not manage to squeeze my post-baby body into that one haha.

A friend of Britta's had a little get together Halloween night, so that's how we celebrated the holiday! We ate a yummy dinner, snapped lots of pictures, and walked around the neighborhood while the kids trick-or-treated. One of the neighbors was passing out fresh homemade donuts and warm apple cider to everyone from their garage. What a fun idea! I'd love to do something like that in the future.

Here's a random fact from my past life. My first "boyfriend" was actually the quarterback of the football team when I was a Junior in high school. He was the new kid in school, so we had never even talked until he took me out on a double date with my friend Sydney. He gave me my first kiss that night and then asked me to be his girlfriend. Our relationship lasted two weeks hahaha. We seriously never spoke to each other, and when we did it was always super awkward. I broke up with him over text and then had a thing with a freshman like a week later. It was kind of a blow to his image {and mine to be honest, but I didn't care}. He even tried to win me back one night after a game because he hated the idea of a freshman stealing his girl. Again, HAHAHA. High school relationships are so weird and unnecessary. I'm pretty sure I just liked the idea of someone liking me and giving me compliments all the time. I hope my kids don't feel the need to date until college!!!

I love those little fishy lips!

Scarlett was lovin' the big reese's she scored. She's the most darling witch I ever did see!

Now to end with a blast from the past.

Ah, the simple days. Happy Halloween!

Park City

There's probably ten different things I could/want to blog about, but let's be real, this mama don't got time for that! So I'm going to get right to the good stuff and maybe hold back a bit on the commentary. On October 10th, we drove up to Park City to spend the week with my family. My dad had a saaa-weet hook up through his work, so we got to stay in a nice, cozy 2.2 million dolla home. It. Was. Awesome. While we were there we played lots of mexican train, explored downtown, squeezed everyone in the maybe not so sanitary hot tub, roasted marshmallows around the fire, cleaned messy babies, decorated candy houses, got hair cuts, relaxed in the steam shower, ate yummy meals, and enjoyed the time we all got to spend together.

Obsessed with these two.

^^ He's so proud of his legs lol

^^ This was our last night. Me and my boys had to leave a day earlier than expected due to a not-so-expected job offer Jason received... in Alabama. We booked a last minute flight for the next day so we could see the area before accepting or rejecting the offer. I'll share more about that in a separate post. Austin had a job interview in Washington this same week, so Britta and the kids flew out a couple hours after us to scope out that area. What horrible timing! We all would have much rather spent another day in Park City. Since we left early, we missed out on seeing my Goldsberry grandparents, my cousin Meredith, and her sweet baby girl. I love that so much of the family was able to get together during this trip!

Love. These. People. I'm already so excited for the next family vacay!
