Easter '21

For the sake of catching up, here's an Easter Sunday photo dump.

^^ How cute are these Easter tags Shilo made?!

Brielle's faces are  e v e r y t h i n g.

I love them. I love them. I love them. Sometimes I wonder if I'll always be this obsessed with my kids. I hope so! Other Easter festivities included an egg hunt and a yummy ham dinner at Mel and Greg's house. Mmm, I'm craving those cheesy potatoes now. I hope everyone had a great Easter!

“On Easter Sunday we celebrate the most long-awaited and glorious event in the history of the world. It is the day that changed everything. On that day, my life changed. Your life changed. The destiny of all God’s children changed. When I think of what the Savior did for us leading up to that first Easter Sunday, I want to lift up my voice and shout praises to the Most High God and His Son, Jesus Christ! The gates of heaven are unlocked! The windows of heaven are opened! Today and forevermore, God’s grace is available to all.”  - Dieter F. Uchtdorf

3 Rex

Back in March Emmett turned THREE. If you know Emmett, you know how much he loves his dinosaurs. I obviously couldn't pass up the opportunity to throw him a 3 Rex birthday party. Debi was in town visiting, so we celebrated a few days early so she could be there for it. We all loved having her here! The Paull's, Collins, Hoggard's, and Ballard's came to party with us too. It was a good time.

Party tip: Buy balloons on amazon! So much cheaper.

In case you missed it..

♫ Happy birthday to you,

happy birthday to you!

Happy birthday, dear Emmett.

"RAAAAAWR!"

Happy birthday to you!

We loved celebrating our boy with family and friends!

On Emmett's actual birthday I took him out on a fun little date just the two of us. We went to the trampoline park, played in the foam pits, threw dodge balls at each other, ate m&m's, slurped an icee, and made some new friends. It was honestly so much fun and I think Emmett was just happy to have mom's full, undivided attention. I need to do that with him more often while he'll let me. He is so sweet and the biggest mama's boy.

When we got home Emmett cooked us up some carrot and beet soup in his new kitchen! Mmm, mmm. Both him and Brielle were big fans of the new toy. Shout out to daddy for the late night assembly the night before!

We love you, Emmett James!
Thanks for making these last three years the best and silliest ever.
