Brielle's Blessing Day

On March 1st, Brielle was blessed. We were lucky to have most of her grandparents in town for it! They're the best. Brielle wore the same dress and bow I wore for my blessing day, which was so special to me. She looked beautiful, and a little bit uncomfy haha. Her daddy gave her the sweetest blessing that morning. Here are a few things I want her to remember from it. *I feel like I need to mention this is not verbatim. Just some main takeaways that I put into my own words.*

Brielle, you are a chosen daughter of God. He has work for you to do and there is so much He's waiting to bless you with in this life and beyond. You are surrounded by family and friends that love you so much. You can always turn to and seek help from them when needed. We hope that you will be able to feel the love Heavenly Father has for you. He loves you a lot, sweet girl. That love will help get you through different trials in your life. You were blessed that you will be healthy physically and spiritually. As you grow, you will learn how to be sensitive to the whisperings of the Holy Spirit which will guide you and help you make life changing decisions down the road. As long as you follow Heavenly Father and the teachings of our Savior, Jesus Christ, you will be able to enjoy all of the greatest blessings He has in store for each of us. Know that you will be loved your entire life. Heavenly Father loves you. Mommy and Daddy love you. You are such a blessing to us all.

After sacrament meeting, everyone congregated to our house for pictures and some lunch. And by everyone I mean our family + the Collins. We basically adopted them as family that weekend haha.

On the menu
lemon curd cheesecake
ham & cheese sliders
cute bottled sodas
fruits / veggies
pasta salad
& chips

I greatly overestimated the amount of food I thought we'd need for this group. I was convinced that everyone would eat 2-3 sandwiches AT LEAST. Probably because that's how much I ate hahaha. Well, we had an entire tray of 24 sandwiches that went untouched. We had leftovers for every single meal that following week. Not mad about it!

It was the best day celebrating this little gal!
WE ARE BLESSED AND SO OBSESSED.

Be My Valentine

This may be unpopular opinion, but valentine's day is the best holiday! It's even better being a wife and a mom. I love making the day special to show my people that I love 'em a lot.

^^ Jason's valentine to me.

^^ My valentine to Jason.

^^ Our valentine to the kiddos.

The window hearts and love balloon were sent in a package from gigi. We miss her!

After enjoying our gifts, we headed out to grab dinner. The thought of sitting, waiting, and attempting to eat in a restaurant with a squirmy toddler and fussy baby is terrifying, so we decided Texas Roadhouse to-go would be the best way to go. It was busy. Took probably 45 minutes to get our food. Jason and I ended up eating our meals in the parking lot while both babies snoozed in the back. We weren't given any utensils or napkins or condiments {and the line to get back inside was insane} so I ended up eating my food with the help of some rolls and Jason ate his sirloin WITH HIS HANDS hahaha. It was the messiest and least romantic dinner date ever, but also one of my favorites! We ate our mediocre meal, talked about whatever, and laughed our heads off. I loved it.

Just snackin' on some sirloin hahaha.

I sure do love my forever valentine.
And my cute mini valentine's!

XOXO
