For Time & All Eternity

April 11th is now forever my favorite day. On that day I was married and sealed to my best friend, Jason, in the Bountiful temple. Whenever I think back on our wedding I tend to sum it up in one word-- perfect. We were blessed with gorgeous weather {which took a turn for the worse only a couple of days later}, our sealing was some of the most beautiful words I've ever heard, we had a tremendous amount of support from loved ones, all of the flowers turned out gorgeous {THANK YOU BLAIRE}, my dress seemed to have stole the show, Jason was so sweet and so handsome... I could go on and on. Honestly I just felt like the luckiest girl in the world. I will admit that there were still times of stress, anxiety, and maybe a tear or two, but let's be real, those are wedding day givens.

As much as I want to write about every single detail, I've decided to keep it a little more simple and just share my absolute favorite moments from that day, as well as give some shout outs to those that made the day so special!

There are three specific moments from our wedding that will forever be my favorite:
{1} The time that Jason and I were able to spend together in the temple before our sealing. It was so sacred and special, which showed through all the tears welled up in our eyes. I don't think that I've ever felt the spirit so strong in my life. My emotions were going everywhere-- feelings of love, excitement, confirmation, and happiness overwhelmed me and I could literally feel myself falling more in love with him right then and there.

{2} Our sealing. Like I said before, the words that came from our sealer's mouth that afternoon were some of the most beautiful words ever. We had President Callister, former Bountiful temple president, as our sealer and I wish more than anything that I had everything he said written down. We were able to talk to him before we went in and I remember him telling us that some of the things we would hear in our sealing we will never hear again in this lifetime, so he urged us to listen closely and avoid any distraction. He was so sweet to us and I especially loved how he referred to me as 'lovely Lexee'. Jason and I were told afterwards by so many people in attendance that our sealing was absolutely beautiful, some even said it was the best sealing they had ever been to. It made the day feel even more special.

{3} When Jason saw me for the first time in my wedding dress right before we walked out of the temple. I love, love, LOVED this moment. I could tell by the way he looked at me that he thought I was the most beautiful bride in the world. He held his stare {which I normally don't like but I was okay with it this time} and showered me with compliments. He might not love that I mention this, but his eyes were filled with tears as well which I thought was just the sweetest thing in the world. I strongly urge anyone getting married in the future to not do bridals before the wedding day. I promise it's worth the reaction.

The rest of the wedding can be speak for itself through all of the amazing pictures captured that day {huge thanks to Brent Paull & Austin Anderson}.

Alright, time to give some credit where it's due. Anyone that knows my mom knows that she is super woman. I don't know how she does it all, but I am so, SO thankful for her. Not only did she pretty much plan the entire wedding, but she also designed/put together/addressed/sent out our wedding invitations, she made impromptu trips to Utah to help me find a dress and make decisions for the reception venue, she spent hours upon hours shopping for bridesmaids outfits and going to multiple Express stores to find all the right sizes, she made all of the raspberry jam wedding favors, she {along with my dad} put together our wedding video, she did the center pieces for the reception tables, she made the reception programs, she scheduled my temple visits and got all of my temple necessities for me, and she did my wedding hair which turned out amazing in the 30ish minutes we had to do it that morning. Seriously, she's the best it comes. My dad deserves a huge thank you too because he helped with everything along the way. I am so thankful for such wonderful examples in my life!

This is Jason's "favorite picture of all time, of anything, anywhere, ever." He's the sweetest.

- The Reception -

We had a dinner reception at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building held in the Empire room. It. Was. Stunning. The evening was very low stress for everyone in attendance because the JSMB did it all. They set up, prepared the food, served the dinner, and cleaned everything up. It was so, so nice! The additional decorations and center pieces were all provided by my mamita and our cake was made by Judy Anderson. So thankful for them!

We also owe a huge thank you to my brother, Taylor, and his wife Lynnea. They sang and played the song 'Overwhelmed' by Tim Mcmorris for our first dance. They did amazing and it was very special for both me and Jason. It calmed me a little bit because I knew not all eyes were on me during the dance {I hate being the center of attention}. Taylor and Lynnea got to share some of the spotlight which I was completely okay with!

Best. Day. Ever. I look forward to celebrating every April 11th with my sweet boy and cherishing these memories that mark the start of our eternal journey together. I love you Jason Paull!
