Hey, hey everyone! In hopes of not getting too far behind before baby gets here, I wanted to catch up on some of the holiday festivities from the past couple of months - starting with Thanksgiving! Thanksgiving is my faaavorite holiday, and this year the whole fam was able to make it out to Colorado which was so so fun. I don't even know how many years it's been since we've all been together for Thanksgiving. It's definitely been a few! This trip was also the first time most of us got to see my parents new house since moving from Parker. It was a little bittersweet being back in Colorado and not being in the house we all grew up in, but I realized that being together really is what makes a place feel like home. {Sounds cheesy, i know.} Needless to say, it was good to be back.
Table set by yours truly. Something I've done for countless Thanksgiving dinners. You'd be surprised at how much thought & time can go into setting a table. When Jason spent his first Thanksgiving with my family {back when we were dating}, he couldn't believe how much effort I was putting into it. It's hard when you're a bit of a perfectionist and your madre has soooo many table setting options!
^^ Getting ready to chow down. I didn't think to get pictures of the spread, but it. was. delicious. Favorite meal of the year.
I don't know what it is about Colorado, but it has got some of the most beautiful sunsets ever ever ever. I guess they call it "Colorful Colorado" for a reason. We snapped this shot from the back porch.
I met up with Katie, one of my closest friends from high school, for breakfast one morning. It's probably been a good four years since I'd seen her last, so we had lots to catch up on. It was so fun chatting the morning away & reminiscing on the good ol' times. She even got baby boy a gift, which was so sweet of her :,)
The Leak fam hosted a bridal shower for Shi while we were all in town. It was fun seeing so many familiar faces and celebrating the future Mrs. Martin! Shi and Kody got HOOKED UP.
One evening the family took a trip to a nearby park. There's a 200 step incline that a couple of us decided to do.. you know, to burn off some of those Thanksgiving calories. It was a bit chilly, so once we got to the top Jason tied Britta's jacket around his head to keep his ears warm. {Why he had Britta's jacket, I don't quite know haha.} He forgot about it and and didn't realize the jacket was still on his head until we were almost down - passing quite a few people might I add. We couldn't help but laugh and laugh about how silly it looked. Oh, I love that boy.
Downtown Parker Christmas lights never disappoint. {Not pictured: The rest of the fam bam}
It was a trip for the books {or in this case, the blog}. It was nice to get out of Utah for a bit, nice to see some old friends, nice to eat my mama's Thanksgiving dinner, and nice to spend time with the people I love most. It's crazy to think that the next time we come out to Colorado, we'll have a little one tagging along. Ahh I can't wait!

I loved this post! So glad you are keeping up with your blog :-* I laughed out loud at Jason's pic with Britt's jacket... I didn't know he had done that hahahaha. Love you guys and LOVED having you in CO for Thanksgiving!!!!
