5 Months

We've got a five month old in the house, woot woot! Emmett has mastered rolling, drooling, scooting, and bouncing. He is the bouncing KING. Aunt Britta let us borrow Ellis's bouncer and it instantly became Emmett's favorite activity. He can spend hours in that thing! Not complaining 'bout it haha. He is indeed a tummy sleeper. We're working on his sleep schedule cause it's been allll over the place lately. He is the happiest little dude when he wakes up and realizes his mama is also awake. He experienced a splash pad, his highchair, and ikea for the first time. He does okay in his car seat if 'Little Baby Bum' is playing on the ipad. Phew, a bit of relief! Emmett taught himself how to scoot across our bed using his face and legs alone. We call him our little snail when he lifts his head, arches his back, and sticks that cute lil bum up as high as it can go. It is so adorable. He was fully submerged in water TWICE at the pool and didn't even cry! His mom and dad are so proud!! We're pretty sure he had his first bad nightmare because one night he let out a scream in his sleep. It was the saddest thing :( Emmett has the cutest expressions and is constantly raising those dark, handsome eyebrows. 'My Teddy Bear' is currently his favorite song. He lights up and gets the biggest smile when he hears it. My baby also reached for me for the first time and my heart literally melted into a puddle when he did. He makes me want ten more of him!!!
