Jingle Alllll The Way

The month of December was packed with family fun and Christmas festivities.

- Breakfast with Santa -

My children were quite unsure of Santa. Emmett threw a fit over the fact this Santa's eyes were brown and not blue like the one in his book. He came to me crying saying, "That is NOT the real Santa!" This kid is gonna catch on quick. He's too observant!!

- Ward Christmas Party -

This is something I normally wouldn't document, but I had to because Jason was put in charge of basically the entire thing (besides the potluck) and his delegating skills are laaacking. So that meant I did most of the planning, shopping, and decorating. My parents lent us the string lights, table cloths, and helped set everything up. They're the best. It turned out really nice! Much nicer than anyone was expecting haha. Jason got lots of compliments on his work ;)

- Christmas Eve -

- Christmas Morning -

Brielle hurt her ankle getting out of bed that morning and would not walk on it all day long. That put a little bit of a damper on Christmas morning, but her ankle ended up being perfectly fine the next day. It's a Christmas miracle!!!

^^ This is my old playmobil house. It's been stored in the basement untouched for years now. I thought it would be something Brielle would love to have. It was well loved by me and now my kids play with it almost daily. I love it!

- Christmas Day -

- Zoo Lights -

- Luminaria -

My parents got the whole fam tickets to luminaria at Thanksgiving Point. It was quite cold, but it ended up being such a fun, special night. My favorite part was going through the light of the world garden. It started snowing right as we walked into it. It felt magical! Kody even asked if the snow was fake for effect haha. It was peaceful and quiet and beautiful. I couldn't help but tear up looking at all the statues of Christ in that setting. I don't remember the last time I felt the spirit so strong. Honestly the perfect way to wrap up the Christmas season!
