THIS IS HALLOWEEN

Halloween! Halloween! Halloween! Halloween!

I hope you get my Nightmare Before Christmas reference lol. That song has been stuck in my head for days. I'm warning you now that I'm about to post waaaay too many Halloween pictures. Sorry 'bout it haha. I just know that I'll never take the time to go back and look at the pictures I don't share on here, and there's just too many good ones! I've always loved the idea of family Halloween costumes, so I basically spent the whole month of October trying to think of something fun and cheap that Jason would be on board with. I originally wanted us to be a lion, tiger, and bear, but then I found this cute baby quarterback outfit that just so happened to match my old high school cheer uniform. NICE. It only took me a couple of minutes to find a ref shirt on Amazon to complete our family costume. Cute and easy peasy! Side note: This was my cheer uniform from freshman/sophomore year. I'm pretty sure that it's not the actual uniform I wore because I was tiiiny back then. {Scroll to the bottom for pictures.} I have the uniform from my Junior year as well and I could not manage to squeeze my post-baby body into that one haha.

A friend of Britta's had a little get together Halloween night, so that's how we celebrated the holiday! We ate a yummy dinner, snapped lots of pictures, and walked around the neighborhood while the kids trick-or-treated. One of the neighbors was passing out fresh homemade donuts and warm apple cider to everyone from their garage. What a fun idea! I'd love to do something like that in the future.

Here's a random fact from my past life. My first "boyfriend" was actually the quarterback of the football team when I was a Junior in high school. He was the new kid in school, so we had never even talked until he took me out on a double date with my friend Sydney. He gave me my first kiss that night and then asked me to be his girlfriend. Our relationship lasted two weeks hahaha. We seriously never spoke to each other, and when we did it was always super awkward. I broke up with him over text and then had a thing with a freshman like a week later. It was kind of a blow to his image {and mine to be honest, but I didn't care}. He even tried to win me back one night after a game because he hated the idea of a freshman stealing his girl. Again, HAHAHA. High school relationships are so weird and unnecessary. I'm pretty sure I just liked the idea of someone liking me and giving me compliments all the time. I hope my kids don't feel the need to date until college!!!

I love those little fishy lips!

Scarlett was lovin' the big reese's she scored. She's the most darling witch I ever did see!

Now to end with a blast from the past.

Ah, the simple days. Happy Halloween!

Hee Haw

I loooove fall. There's so many festive things to do! We met up with my Utah sibs a couple weekends back for a fun fall evening together. We had dinner at Chubby's Cafe and then went to Hee Haw farms in Pleasant Grove. This was my first time there and, I have to say, it is quite a fun little spot! Some of the activities included hayrides, a petting farm, giant slides, tether ball, a fire pit, pony rides, and a corn maze. Here are a couple things I learned that night: ○ Pigs can get HUGE.  Scarlett is awesome at mazes and terrified of bunnies.  Kody's not half bad at tether ball. Jason, Shilo, and I are not half good haha.  Ellis and Emmett are the cutest little duo.  Goats can be intimidating. ○ Corn pits will leave corn in your shoes for days.  Don't waste your money and return the burger if it's too pink.  Sack cloths make going down a slide soooo much faster. Giant slides are just as fun when you're twenty-five.

^^ I love how these two interact with each other. Melts my heart!

It was such a fun evening! We all ended up going over to Britta and Austin's afterwards to play {you guessed it} jackbox tv games while the kiddos slept. These are some of my favorite nights.
I'M GOING TO MISS THEM SO MUCH :(((
