Last weekend my mom and Britt threw me the CUTEST baby shower! It was story book themed and on the invitation it said...
One fun idea that shouldn't be hard, bring a book instead of a card.
By signing your book, Lex will remember and share
this gift from you even when you're not there.
The book can be cherished, well-used, or brand new.
There's no obligation - it's all up to you.
Baby boy now has quite the little library for his nursery, and this mama is super grateful for it! I cannot wait to read him all of those books eventually. Such a cute and thoughtful idea! The food and decor also tied in with the story book theme. It was a Pinterest worthy shower FOR SURE.
My mom made this quilt for our little guy and I am SO in love with it!
She's made a quilt for all of her grand babies - I am forever impressed by her!
I am so, so grateful for everyone who came out to show love and support for our growing little fam. Multiple family members traveled 8+ hours from out of state to make it to the shower, and I hope they all know how much I appreciate them! We are now more ready than ever for our boy to make his appearance! Preferably sooner than later ;)
Jason's boss also threw him a baby shower at work this week which was SO sweet of her! His co-workers definitely hooked us up! On top of the gifts from the shower, another team gave us an Amazon gift card they all pitched in for. Jason and I were both very surprised with how generous everyone was! I've come to realize that I need to be better when it comes to gift giving - even for those I'm not the closest to {co-workers, neighbors, ward members, etc}.
^^ Thank you Packsize!
Pregnancy update - At my last doctor's appointment {four days ago} I was 4 cm dilated / 60% effaced at 37 1/2 weeks. Dr. England said he wouldn't be surprised if our babe decided to come any day now! SO you can imagine that Jason and I wake up every morning thinking TODAY IS THE DAY. My body is showing plenty of signs that labor is near, but my contractions are super inconsistent and unpredictable - I'm also having a hard time differentiating a contraction from the baby wiggling around. Is that normal?
We've been cleaning and organizing like c r a z y trying to get everything in order before baby's arrival. It definitely didn't help that our washer decided to blow a fuse and stop working as I was washing all of the baby's clothes. {We have since ordered a new washer/dryer set, but it won't get here until Thursday. Ugh! Worst timing ever, I swear.} We've made sure that all of the hospital essentials are packed and ready to go in the car because this is happening SOON people! Although I wouldn't mind if our boy wants to keep baking for at least one more day since our doctor is currently out of town haha. It's crazy to think that in my next blog post I will be introducing baby boy Paull! AHHHH!

Ahhhh.... such a sweet post! We can't wait to meet your little guy, too!! Soon! Love you :-*
