Moving On

So long, farewell, auf Wiedersehen, goodbye!

We have officially moved out of Utah :,) I still can't really believe it. It all happened so so so fast! We didn't even know for sure that we were going through with the move until November 5th... we moved out on November 16th. THAT'S LESS THAN TWO WEEKS PEOPLE. During that time we met with realtors, listed our home, deep cleaned errthing, touch-up painted, had five showings, two open houses, packed & wrapped all of our belongings, loaded up a uhaul truck, said goodbyes to our family and friends, and moved out. We received a full asking price offer and were under contract in less than a week. Nice.

It was a busy, crazy, hectic, stressful time. Maintaining a spotless house for daily showings and moming an eight month old while your husband is at work all day is no easy task. Jason's last day at C.R. England was literally the day we moved out of Utah. Shilo and Kody had a Colorado trip planned to see Mauri's high school play, so we decided to bump up our moving date so we could all drive down to Colorado together. The boys handled the moving truck and the girls handled the baby. We sure appreciate those two! They were a major help to us.

We were able to get in some family time {more on that here} for a couple of days in Colorado before Jason made the loooong drive to Alabama in the uhaul with his brother Ryan. Jason picked Ryan up from the airport Sunday evening and they drove straight through the night. Running on no sleep, the boys decided to stop at a YMCA along the way to get in a quick workout and shower lol. They made it to Ryan's house 20.5 hours later and immediately unloaded everything and returned the moving truck when they got there. Those Paull boys are crazy!!!

To keep everyone up to speed, we are building a home in Alabama and have a long couple of months ahead of us until it's finished. Emmett and I are staying with my family in Colorado to {hopefully} pass the time while Jason starts his job at Boeing out there. He is currently crashing with Ryan and Karlie. It's only been a little over a week and we're missing our daddy more than ever. Me and Emmett are taking a trip to Alabama in a couple weeks to make design decisions on our home and I am so sooo soooo sooooo excited for that reunion!

Alright, enough chit chat. Here are some pictures of the most perfect first home for us. The sentimental part of me wants to remember every little detail.

^^ Ignore our sad, undecorated room. It obviously wasn't a top priority for us lol.

I couldn't help but snap some pictures of Emmett 'cause I'm OBSESSED WITH HIM.

When we moved in, I remember telling Jason, "This is where we'll bring our babies home!" I could picture our kids playing on the play set right outside while I watched from the living room window. The thought made me so happy! I feel so connected to this little town home that we got to call ours for the last two and a half years. I didn't care that it wasn't the most updated or the fact that the carpets were in major need of replacing and the fridge was dented. It didn't bother me that it was on the smaller side or that you could occasionally hear the neighbors conversation if you listened close enough haha. I'm going to miss mine and Emmett's daily routine, swimming at the pool with the fam in the summer, and chatting with my neighbor Katie outside at 9 pm at night because one of us needed salsa or vanilla or eggs. To be honest, I was content with the idea of staying here for another three to five years! I know we have some amazing things to look forward to in Alabama, but I can't help but be a little bit sad turning this page.

One of the things I'm going to miss the absolute most is living so close to my utah siblings. The Saturday before we left, the Anderson and Martin peeps threw us an Alabama-themed surprise going away party :,) They are seriously the sweetest. We ate lots of pizza, took our chances with the jelly belly game, watched random youtube videos, and played jackbox tv of course. It was the perfect send off. I'm going to miss nights like this so dang much.

I'll end with the last picture we took in the house right before heading out. That morning was chaotic. Jason had to go into work for a little and run some errands, I was packing up the last of our things and cleaning like a crazy lady, and I'm sure Emmett was feeling a bit neglected in his pack-n-play. We got very little sleep from camping out on the floor the night before because all of our furniture was already packed in the moving truck. I had to keep reminding myself that it'd all be worth it and that we were almost finished with the worst of it. I love these boys so much. I'm a lucky lady to get to do life with them and I'm excited to see what the future holds for our family!

ROLLLLLLLL TIDE!
