Hudson's Blessing Day

On July 2nd, Hudson was blessed in our church surrounded by so many of our family and friends. It was such a special day and I don't ever want to take for granted these moments that bring all of the people I love most together. I wish I could say I remember what was said in the blessing, but I do know that the spirit was there and that my baby boy is so loved by his earthly and Heavenly Father.

Not that I feel like this needs to be shared, but more for my memory and for keeping things real, Jason and I got in a big fight the night before Hudson's blessing. We rarely fight, so the timing was unfortunate. I'll spare the details, but I remember feeling so nervous that we were going to go into the next day not in the best moods or with the right spirit. Things weren't reconciled that night, but the next morning as I was getting ready Jason brought me a caffeinated soda and we both apologized. As dumb as it sounds, it was exactly what my anxious, sleep-deprived, hormonal, postpartum self needed. Both of our moods immediately shifted and it ended up being the best day. I am so grateful for him.

I owe a huuuge thank you to my parents. I truly couldn't have done this get together without them. My mom helped me plan, shop, and prep food and flowers the day before. The next morning my parents set everything up at a park pavillion before church, then immediately headed over after the blessing to finish setting up. They took so much stress off of me that day. I hope they always know how much I appreciate them!!

Hud and Mia are only a few days apart. It's so fun having bestie babies!

Brielle was adamant that she change out of her church clothes before going to the park, so that explains her wrinkly wardrobe haha. Love that silly girl.

The Paull side of the family came back to our house after the lunch for a bit. All of Jason's brothers were able to be there which was so special and the reason we did the blessing when we did. Matt's family was in town for a few weeks before moving back to Okinawa, so we were lucky to have everyone there!

I'm kicking myself for not getting individual pictures of Hudson that day. That's life with three kids I guess! I'm always busy, always tired, and always needed by someone at all times. I'm honestly shocked I've kept this blog going with how little free time I have these days haha. Trying my best to not let these memories slip through the cracks! Despite the chaos that is three kids, I wouldn't have it any other way.

I'm stressed, but SO BLESSED.
