Shilo + Kody

First can I just say how much I love 9 am church?! My Sundays are about to become much more productive haha. Right now I currently have a husband napping in my lap & a baby dancing in my belly, but I am determined to get this written!

This post is dedicated to Shilo {my little sis} and Kody {my new BIL}. They sealed the deal on December 21st in the Draper temple. I had the perfect view of Shilo during their sealing ceremony and seeing her so happy in that moment made me SO HAPPY. There is something seriously special about witnessing someone you love be sealed to someone they love for all eternity... and I think Shi chose a good one.

It was freeeezing the day of their wedding, but the newlyweds didn't seem to let that phase them. Those two were champs when it came down to posing for pictures in the middle of winter. ^^ These are some shots from their bridals. STUNNING, I KNOW. I plan on posting a lot more photos once she gets the wedding day pics back from her photographer. In the meantime, I'll share some of the photos that Jason/Austin/I captured that day.

 The reception venue was g o r g e o u s. Besides the cold weather, I'd say their wedding day was pretty darn perfect. I am so thrilled for Mr & Mrs Martin! I wish them the best of the best of the best.

LOVE YOU SIS & WELCOME TO THE FAMILY KODY!

Anddd here is their cute wedding video {s/o to Hailey}

- For memory's sake -

We got home quite late from the all the wedding festivities that night. My feet were aching and swollen from wearing heels with a big belly weighing me down. Without needing to ask, Jase helped get me comfy in bed and started to rub my feet. I felt so loved by him and I wanted to remember that sweet moment. He's nailing this whole pregnancy-husband role.

Thanksgiving in Colorado

Hey, hey everyone! In hopes of not getting too far behind before baby gets here, I wanted to catch up on some of the holiday festivities from the past couple of months - starting with Thanksgiving! Thanksgiving is my faaavorite holiday, and this year the whole fam was able to make it out to Colorado which was so so fun. I don't even know how many years it's been since we've all been together for Thanksgiving. It's definitely been a few! This trip was also the first time most of us got to see my parents new house since moving from Parker. It was a little bittersweet being back in Colorado and not being in the house we all grew up in, but I realized that being together really is what makes a place feel like home. {Sounds cheesy, i know.} Needless to say, it was good to be back.

Table set by yours truly. Something I've done for countless Thanksgiving dinners. You'd be surprised at how much thought & time can go into setting a table. When Jason spent his first Thanksgiving with my family {back when we were dating}, he couldn't believe how much effort I was putting into it. It's hard when you're a bit of a perfectionist and your madre has soooo many table setting options!

^^ Getting ready to chow down. I didn't think to get pictures of the spread, but it. was. delicious. Favorite meal of the year.

I don't know what it is about Colorado, but it has got some of the most beautiful sunsets ever ever ever. I guess they call it "Colorful Colorado" for a reason. We snapped this shot from the back porch.

I met up with Katie, one of my closest friends from high school, for breakfast one morning. It's probably been a good four years since I'd seen her last, so we had lots to catch up on. It was so fun chatting the morning away & reminiscing on the good ol' times. She even got baby boy a gift, which was so sweet of her :,)

The Leak fam hosted a bridal shower for Shi while we were all in town. It was fun seeing so many familiar faces and celebrating the future Mrs. Martin! Shi and Kody got HOOKED UP.

One evening the family took a trip to a nearby park. There's a 200 step incline that a couple of us decided to do.. you know, to burn off some of those Thanksgiving calories. It was a bit chilly, so once we got to the top Jason tied Britta's jacket around his head to keep his ears warm. {Why he had Britta's jacket, I don't quite know haha.} He forgot about it and and didn't realize the jacket was still on his head until we were almost down - passing quite a few people might I add. We couldn't help but laugh and laugh about how silly it looked. Oh, I love that boy.

Downtown Parker Christmas lights never disappoint. {Not pictured: The rest of the fam bam}

It was a trip for the books {or in this case, the blog}. It was nice to get out of Utah for a bit, nice to see some old friends, nice to eat my mama's Thanksgiving dinner, and nice to spend time with the people I love most. It's crazy to think that the next time we come out to Colorado, we'll have a little one tagging along. Ahh I can't wait!

It's a BOY!

We have some exciting news... WE'RE EXPECTING A BABY BOY! By now this shouldn't be too surprising to anyone since I am about to start my third trimester and everyone's known for quite some time haha. {My plan was to have this post done by the time we announced... oops.} Baby Paull is expected to get here on March 12th. Three more months, people! Jason and I are already so in love with our little man and we are over the moon excited for his arrival.

I've been keeping a mini baby diary to remember all the fun dates throughout my pregnancy:

7.1.17 + pregnancy test yay!!!
7.20.17 First ultrasound - heard the baby's heartbeat
9.19.17 It's a boy! Announced the big news
10.19.17 20 week ultrasound - halfway there!
10.25.17 Jason felt the baby move
11.9.17 Saw baby move my belly
3.2.18 BABY TIME. Happy Birthday sweet boy!
3.12.18 Due date!

These moments have been so special and honestly some of our happiest, so I couldn't help but document them.

Our teeny-tiny babe!

This is one very happy/excited/proud soon-to-be daddy. I've loved seeing him through this whole process and I cannot wait to see him take on the role of dad. I already know he's going to be a really, really good one.

Seconds before finding out the gender of our babe!

20 weeks and definitely a boy!

Tomorrow I am 27 weeks. This pregnancy has absolutely flown by for me {I know Jason would say otherwise haha}. I feel so blessed that I get to carry, nurture, and feel this sweet little wiggle worm everyday. The love we have for him already is unreal and we are so dang excited for him to get here.

Bring on the parent life!
