Last Sunday was Emmett's blessing day. We're grateful that so many family members and friends were able to come out for the occasion. Jason gave such a sweet blessing. A couple of things mentioned that I want to remember from it:
Have a desire to do good • Keep an eternal perspective • Strive to uphold the laws and covenants you make • Be led by the spirit to help more of God's children come unto Him • Grow to understand the importance of Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father • Find happiness and joy in this life through family, friends, and especially the gospel • Carry out duties and responsibilities in a way that is pleasing to our Heavenly Father • Have a love for our Savior that will grow and be strengthened by keeping His commandments. Good reminders, for all of us.
Everyone congregated to our town home pavilion afterwards for a post-blessing brunch. Shout out to my mama for working her usual magic and making it a pinterest worthy event. Other family members contributed food and assisted with the set up & clean up. THANKS EVERYONE. We appreciate you!
Alright, get ready for LOTS of pictures.
Breakfast burritos
Yogurt parfait bar
Fruit tray & dip
Orange juice
Muffins
YUM.
It was a happy, happy day! I'm going to try to ignore the fact that I didn't get one picture of Emmett in his cute bow tie :,) It came off right after he was blessed to avoid getting spit up on it. Welp, lesson learned - keep the bow tie on!
WE LOVE YOU, EMMETT.
