Brielle's First Year

Littlest features, big eyes. Took to nursing like a champ. Spit up a lot. Held head up super well. Slept A LOT (way more than her brother did). Loved being held. Cute lil birthmark on left shin. Had lots of forehead wrinkles that disappeared as she grew.

Big fan of the solly wrap. Slept wrapped on dad's chest while he played video games. Couldn't keep her eyes off the fan. Got sick for the first time. Smiled at mommy! Went to the beach. First weekend away from home. Never cried during diaper changes.

First laugh!! Loved to grab my hands. Only wanted to nurse when hungry, not for comfort. Watched mommy allll day and always wanted to be held. SO CHATTY. Still sleeping good. Would wake up with a smile. Discovered her tongue.

I can't resist throwing in a few of my Emmett boy.

First two teeth!! Started to use legs to hold her weight. Had the fuzziest hair, chunkiest thighs, and stinkiest toots. Gave shy little smirks. First food was watermelon! Loved the baby bjorn carrier. Took lots of walks in the stroller. Jumped in the bouncer.

Solid foods! First time sitting in high chair. Good eater (hallelujah). Definitely a mama's girl. Had her eyes on me at. all. times. Said "mama"!!! Sucked on hands. Still a fan of diaper changes and super smiley when she'd wake up.

Top teeth!! Grinded them so much. Height measured off the charts. Did so good getting shots. Said "dada". Came so close to sitting up. Swam in the lake twice. Took first looong road trip. Rolled over so fast and babbled so much. Kicked legs like crazy. Sat in shopping cart. Had a sleep & nap regression.

First real meal - chicken and rice. Six teeth!! Went on hikes. Swam at the pool. Discovered a love for back rubs and veggie straws. First plane ride and she did amazing!! Took a trip to Utah. Met all her aunties and cousins. Sitting up. Fell off the bed :( Woke up a lot at night.

Started sleeping in her own room! Rolled onto her belly and plopped her head down every night when laid in her crib. Laughed the hardest at Emmett. Ate a lot of apples, puff cheetos, fruit pouches, and pasta. Came sooo close to crawling. Scooted backwards like no ones business. Still grinding teeth.

Officially crawling!! Said "gogglegogglegoggle" all the time. Called her our little turkey. Constipation probs :/ Super squirmy. Went to the farm. Slid down slides and swung on swings. Tyler, our cute neighbor boy, is her bff. Such a happy girl.

First halloween. Cutest kitty cat ever. Started to pull herself up to stand. Climbed the stairs. Started to play with Emmett. Super smiley and bashful. Such a good eater. Not the best sleeper. Made it her mission to take christmas ornaments off the tree. Did sooo good going back to church! (Darn covid.)

Popped a molar. So. Many. Teeth. First solo flight with mom. Took a trip to Utah and most likely got covid. Speed crawler. Didn't care to take steps. Big snuggler. Very easy to make her smile. Hard to get back to sleep after waking up. Sometimes would play for HOURS after midnight. Said cat and dog. Snuggled with her soft bunny pillow every night.

Standing up. Walks around with walker. Gets the biggest smile when I say bless you after she sneezes. Her favorite activity is taking condiments out of the fridge. Sits super still and gets the biggest eyes when I balance things on her head. Loves taking baths with mom. Very dramatic. Obsessed with cats. Started giving kisses. She is absolutely perfect.

I truly cannot believe she's ONE.
