After our family Wyoming trip, my mom and I drove to Utah and spent a couple of days with Britta and the kiddos. Hailey was having her baby shower that weekend and I really, really didn't want to miss it. I appreciate my mama for agreeing to make her long trip away from home even longer and traveling with me and a fussy baby in not the best weather conditions. I know I couldn't have made the drive alone {and my husband wouldn't have allowed it} so I owe her one!
Hailey is my best and oldest friend. We grew up together and started planning out our lives when we were probably ten. We always talked about being roommates in college, getting married to best friends or brothers or twins, living near each other, and having babies that could grow up to be best buds like we were. While it didn't necessarily work out like we imagined, we still came pretty darn close to the mark. We got married about two years apart, our husbands get along great, we lived thirty minutes away from each other in Utah {I'm doing my best to convince her to move out to Alabama once Matt is done with school haha}, and Hailey is expecting a baby boy ANY DAY NOW. His due date is a little less than two weeks away which is about when Emmett decided to make his grand appearance! I am soooo excited for her! I'm already planning on taking another trip out so I can snuggle the little guy.
Her baby shower was so fun! I loved that I got to go with my mom and sisters, as well as reunite with some old friends.
^^ Emmett saying hi to his little buddy.
Absolutely love this crew. We all can't wait for the arrival of baby boy Hawton! He is already so, so loved.
While we were in Utah we also went to the temple {you HAVE to go if you haven't already been this year}, had a yummy dinner at my Goldsberry grandparents {Debi joined us so she could spend some time with her Emmett boy}, and stopped by grandma Syddall's for a visit {& some snacks of course}. I'm happy that we were able to see so much of our family and friends in those few days we were there. I'd say it was worth the headache of a drive home!
And just because these are too cute not to share, I'll wrap this up with these cute bathing boys :)
Gosh, I love 'em.

Those bath pics are adorable! And I'm so glad you captured Hailey's baby shower. I agree - a busy but fantastic week!
